Architectural Digest just featured my beloved apartment, and I slept on the couch the night before the shoot. I decided to hire a housekeeper to take my place from “clean enough” to “professionally clean”, and she made the bed better than I ever could. This was Architectural Digest! Nobody can know that I’m a normal (read: messy) person who can only make a 3/10 bed. I knew I wouldn’t be able to recreate her work, so I toted my favorite pillow to the couch for a fitful night’s sleep.

My interior styling journey is one of humble beginnings. Here’s what my apartment looked like at 23:
